Pickleball Experience & Team Event Booking

The Sport Your Team Can Actually Play in 10 Minutes

Pickleball blends tennis, badminton and table tennis: a court the size of a badminton doubles court, a slow ball, and rules simple enough to explain in one go — which is why it is the easiest racket sport to start. Made Studio handles the court, coach, paddles and balls, so first-timers are rallying for real within ten minutes.

Why Pickleball Works So Well for Teams

Absurdly fast to pick up

The ball is slower than tennis, the solid paddle is easier to control than a badminton racket, and the court is small. The coach finishes explaining and you start playing — no need to 'get good' first.

Fitness gaps don't ruin it

Small court, little running, low joint impact. Colleagues who can't sprint still reach the ball — unlike badminton or tennis, where a skill gap leaves people watching from the side.

Doubles by default, a natural icebreaker

Pickleball is played mostly as doubles: two people covering for each other and calling shots. Rotating partners breaks up departmental cliques on its own.

Zero prep on your side

Court, paddles, balls, scoring and format all handled. Your only job is getting people there.

How the Session Runs

  1. 1

    Check-in & teams

Random or cross-department teams, team markers handed out, warm-up icebreaker.

  2. 2

    Rules in five minutes

Warm-up plus the three rules that matter: the underhand serve, the double bounce, and the kitchen. Understand those three and you can play.

  3. 3

    First rallies

Everyone on court rallying, with the coach correcting grip and placement as you go.

  4. 4

    Rotating doubles

A rotation format puts everyone on court and keeps mixing up the pairings.

  5. 5

    Final & photos

Top teams play the final, then fun awards and a group photo to close.

FAQ

Can complete beginners join?

Yes — that's the whole point of pickleball. The coach covers the warm-up plus the serve, the double bounce and the kitchen rule, and most people are rallying within ten minutes. The barrier to entry is far lower than badminton or tennis.

Do we need to bring paddles or gear?

No. Paddles and match balls are included. Just wear indoor sports shoes and something you can move in. You're welcome to bring your own paddle if you have one.

How many people can join?

Six is enough to book, and 12–24 makes for the liveliest session. Pickleball is mostly doubles with four per court, so for larger groups we add courts and coaches to keep everyone playing.

Where are the courts?

A pickleball court is the same size as a badminton doubles court, so we convert the nets at our existing indoor partner venues, such as the NTU Sports Center, and match the venue to your date, headcount and location.

How is it different from badminton?

Same court size, but pickleball uses a solid paddle and a perforated plastic ball. The ball is slow, there are no wrist-heavy clears, and play stays near the net. In short: badminton rewards technique, while pickleball lets you rally on your first try.

Is it fine for people who aren't athletic?

Yes. The court is small, movement is limited and joint impact is low — pickleball is played worldwide by all ages for exactly this reason. Desk-bound colleagues can take part the whole way through.
